Twinings of London makes a fantastic and cheap rooibos. I started drinking rooibos after spending 5 months in Botswana (southern Africa) and now prefer it over all other teas! Being caffeine free makes it so I feel I can drink as much as I want guilt free. It's soooo good!

A South African now living in Korea, I have learnt to re-appreciate Rooibos. I have never had it with milk and sugar, but with honey only and sometimes, especially if not feeling well, a slice of lemon. My daughter had to live on it for weeks at a time, as she was lactose intolerant as a baby. And don't forget the beauty benefits! The most famous in SA being Annique. All their products based on Rooibos.

I'm going to start by saying I'm not a tea drinker. Never have been. I read on some home remedies website that rooibos tea would help with my restless leg syndrome so I gave it a try. I'll admit that its better than any other tea I've tried and I really like it as iced tea with a little honey. Within 10 minutes of drinking the tea it subsides my RLS. I try to drink a cup a day but sometimes I slack off for a few and I can feel the RLS creeping back in. Once I get back to drinking the tea, it goes away again. That's enough proof for me that this stuff works and is much better than taking pills made with who knows what.

I love organic rooibos tea. Although I've tried different brands, the best I've found yet is by Equal Exchange. It's clean tasting, rich but mellow and heavenly. But Tom, I wouldn't add sweet 'n' low to anything I'd eat or drink. That stuff is pure (shudder) horror. Honey is better or molasses if you need a sweetener.

A little tip from South Africa: Best way to make your Rooibos tea:
Preheat your cup by filling the empty cup with boiling water and then throwing it out after a minute.
Put the tea bag in and pour boiling water on top. Get the tea bag to soak up some water so that it submerges a bit and then put a saucer on top of your cup so that the heat is trapped in. Leave to brew for at least 8-10 minutes and then add a dash of milk and sugar to taste.
Rooibos is quite a tough leaf, and does not allow all the goodness out very easliy compared to normal tea. (",)

Love rooibos with natural sugar, honey or agave nectar and lemon. It warms my insides as I sip and I immediately feel calm and relaxed. Even though I like Chinese green tea, African Rooibos is superior in antioxidants.

I had my first cul of Rooibos lastnight and the scent was reminiscant of cigar tobacco but the taste was earthy and wonderful. Also @ TOM...please stop using sweet n low. Saccharin is so bad for you and totally defeats the purpose of this lovely tea. If you must use a sweetener try Stevia..it compliments rooibus and most teas very well and holds its own benefits in and of itself :)

Wow, i trully enjoy Rooiboss. First i couldn`t stand the smell of the tea, but now I love the taste and the aroma it has. I take it with milk and a little bit of sugar just to give it a nice taste. I recommend rooiboss to those who haven`t tried it yet.

Many thanks.

Careful with consumption - Flouride is actually not a benefit, it was used in the Nazi camps to dumb down the soldiers. causes a wooly head, forgetfulness and general "wont revolt" attitude. Governments love it...
