Have I Fallen in Love with PayPerPost Yet?

As I mentioned last week, I have finally been accepted by PayPerPost. After logging in to see what assignments are available I noticed that PayPerPost are offering $10 for writing 100 words about why I love them. I’m not so sure I would go as far as saying I’m head over heals in love with PPP but I would like to share a few things I have learned…

Need 10 Sponsored Posts

In order to submit multiple blogs you need to first of all write 10 sponsored posts with them. This is fine if you have a more general blog and Google PR but I’ve been finding it very difficult to get jobs with them as I don’t currently have PR plus I don’t think anyone here really wants to know about ring tones.

Increase Categories

I’ve been told to increase the number of categories my blog is listed in under. At the moment it’s under health so I need to add to other categories such as “life” and “shopping”. When logging in to follow this advice it says I have to wait 3 days before I can make any changes. So until then I’ll just have to be patient.

General Blogs with PR

If you are thinking of creating an account with them I suggest you submit a blog that has PR and covers various topics. That way you’ll have a better chance of completing the necessary 10 tasks so you can add more blogs.

I’m sure in time I will love PPP, I’m just suffering a few teething problems at the moment.

  1. Hey April,

You have just shared some valuable experience with your readers about PPP. Well done! đŸ™‚

Thanks James, I forgot to mention that I was also told to put the “Hire Me” badge on the site. I’ve now done this so hope it might help.

At the moment I’m seeing just a few jobs offers available to me that have no relation to health.

The problem i am encountering with PPP and similar services, is that the better offers and reviews go to blogs of a marketing and/or techy nature. Our niche doesn’t fare too well. This is my experience with several of the review places. Maybe in time, there will be good stuff for us to write about. I get junk like hotels, poker, just completely unrelated stuff.

Companies just seem to care about PR. I have one general blog which is PR3 and I’ve had about $100 from Blogsvertise over the last week. the offers seem to be mostly about travel and home improvement.

I don’t know how companies expect people to write 200 words for $5. maybe that’s fine if you live in India but in the UK it doesn’t buy much.

I don’t much like ReviewMe either. all the offers I get are $5 on topics like plastic surgery and pills.

When there’s the next pr update I might buy a domain that already has PR which will make it easier to get writing jobs.
